Fiery flying serpents in the new nonfiction
Although this new book has been called “the Bible of Modern
pterosaurs,” and it explains a new interpretation for the flying
“snakes” in the Old Testament, the Bible itself is quoted only
in a few places. This book is more about the adventures of a
few Bible-believing Americans who searched for the creatures
in Papua New Guinea and about the shocking encounters that
many eyewitnesses have had around the world.
Searching for Ropens and Finding God has been called “the Bible of modern pterosaurs.”

Searching for Ropens and Finding God—nonfiction by Whitcomb
As riveting as some fictional tales of dragons, Searching for
Ropens and Finding God is a nonfiction about pterosaurs
with long tails, apparently real animals that live in our modern
world. How could they have remained undiscovered, or at
least unacknowledged, by late-2014, by modern scientists?
The book explains that delayed discovery, with deep analysis
given to the reader in simple English.
From the back cover: “Settle into a comfortable chair and
prepare for what may become the most unsettling scientific
discovery since Copernicus and Galileo. This true story takes
you into the expeditions that began to prepare the Western
world for a discovery not yet recognized by scientists in
developed countries.”
The World War II veteran Duane Hodgkinson still
tells people about his marvelous encounter with a
“pterodactyl” when he and his army buddy were in
a jungle clearing in New Guinea in 1944: Wow!
